Dagrin’s brother, Trod reacts after being accused of abandoning the late rapper’s mum and siphoning his music royalties

Nigerian singer and brother of late rapper Dagrin, Trod, has denied allegations of siphoning royalties from his brother’s music.


Recently, a video surfaced featuring Dagrin’s mother, who is also Trod’s stepmother, pleading for financial assistance from Nigerians. ICYMI.

Dagrin’s mother’s living conditions sparked concern among Nigerians and raised questions about who has been receiving royalties from the late rapper’s songs since his tragic demise, leaving his family to suffer.

Some social media users, who believe that Trod should be aware of the royalties and be responsible for the late rapper’s mother, called him out.

However, in response to the allegations, Trod took to his official Twitter page to clarify that he has no knowledge of the royalties.

He challenged Digital Music and Commerce Exchange Limited (DMCE), the organization he claimed has been receiving the royalties since 2010, to come forward.

Trod shared a screenshot of Dagrin’s songs on a streaming platform and wrote, “I don’t know anything about Grin’s royalties… The person who has been getting paid for 13 years should come out. DMCE, whatever?!”
