Everyday You Use Your Child’s Death To Emotionally Blackmail Nigerians – Journalist Kiki Mordi Slams D’banj
Nigerian investigative journalist, Kiki Mordi had condemned singer, Deji Banjo, aka D’banj over his recent reference to his son’s death
As more Nigerians join in the fight against police brutality in the country, the singer in a tweet shared on Sunday stated that he knows what he means to be in pain as he has also lost a child.
He wrote, “I know what it means to be in pain, to lose a child and a loved one..so I know the pain my brothers and sisters are going through and my heart is heavy. I pray God grants us the healing and restoration we so deeply need in our country and that our light can once again shine.”
The singer also noted that as a Nigerian youth, he tries his best to never give up urging others to do the same.

In reaction, Kiki Mordi blasted the Koko master noting that he was mentioning his son’s death in order to emotionally blackmail Nigerians.
“Every day you use your child to emotionally blackmail Nigerians. You’re very scary,” She wrote
In response to Kiki’s tweet, some social media users noted that her words were too sensitive adding that losing a child can change someone mentally.

D’banj lost his only son in a drowning incident in 2018.
The 13-month-old boy reportedly drowned in the singer’s home in the Ikoyi area of Lagos during the visit of some friends of the family.
D’banj was said to be away for a musical award in Los Angeles, United States when the incident happened.
After the incident, he posted a black background on his Instagram page with the caption: “Trying times but my God is Always and Forever Faithful.”
