Two suspected thieves were beaten to stupor after they were nabbed at #EndSARS Lekki protest on Sunday, October 18th.
The thieves were beaten until they both bloodied up.
When the photo surfaced on Twitter, many persons were angry at the jungle justice. They said even if they were caught stealing, the appropriate thing to do was to hand them over to the police and not take matters into your hands.
The photo posted on Twitter by Banjo Damilola was captioned: “They came to steal at Lekki. They’ve been handed to their oppressors (police) as their punishment. We are not blinded to the fact that there are misguided ones amongst the youth but when we find them, we hold them accountable.” #EndSARS #ENDBADGOVERNANCE
