Moment Speaker Tajudeen Abbas’ first wife shoved his 2nd wife aside during his swearing-in (Video below)

A mild drama ensued during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.


The lawmaker was taking his oath of office with his second wife standing behind him, when the first wife stormed the podium and edged her out of the scene.

A video which has gone viral captures the moment the first wife mounted the stage and used her body to push the second wife to the side as she took her place behind her husband.

A man who stoodby when the drama occured could be seen talking to the first wife inaudibly after she displaced the second.

Meanwhile, the Clerk to the National Assembly, Sani Tambuwal, swore in Tajudeen Abbas as Federal House of Representatives Speaker, on Tuesday.

Members-elect voted Abbas of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Speaker of the 10th House at their inauguration in Abuja on June 13, 2023.

In entertainment news, Nigerian musician, Darlington Okoye aka Speed Darlington, has that he cannot marry only one woman.

He stated this while featuring on The Honest Bunch podcast, adding that a man is not supposed to be with one woman.

Akpi, as he is fondly called, said there is so much temptation that comes with being with one wife that he would not be able to handle.

He said humans are only forcing themselves to accept the principle of monogamy because we see ourselves as being superior to animals.
