Nigerian activist identified with the Twitter handle @stevetom788, claims the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Yakubu Mahmood, wouldn’t be alive today if not for the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

According to him, Peter Obi’s calls for Nigerians to remain calm stopped him and a host of others from executing their plans in the Niger Delta region.

He added that the INEC chairman, police officials, and politicians who rigged the presidential election against the Labour Party presidential candidate wouldn’t be alive today if Peter Obi didn’t ask Nigerians to remain calm that he would reclaim his mandate in court.

His weighty claim has left Nigerians agog, with many sharing mixed views while others urged him to retract his statement.

His tweet reads:

“If Obi did not Nigerians to remain calm that he would reclaim his mandate through court, INEC, Chairman, officials, police, DSS, PDAPC politicians would not be alive today because I know what we were planning in the Niger Delta. The war would have started from there. DON’T PUSH US.”

Recall that few weeks ago, Mr Obi had called on his supporters across the to remain calm as the struggle to reclaim the mandate given to him continues.
