Belgium will travel to Seville for their round-of-16 contest against a third-place team from either Group A, D, E or F. Finland must wait until the end of the group stage to see if they can qualify as one of the best third-place outfits.

Belgium secure a 2-0 victory over Finland this evening in their Euro 2020 Group B clash. An own goal from Lukas Hradecky and a strike from Romelu Lukaku delivered the three points to send the Red Devils through as group winners with a 100% record. The defeat leaves Finland in third place after Denmark defeated Russia to secure second spot. The Finns need other results to land in their favour to reach the knockout stage.

Denmark march on to the round of 16 where they’ll face Wales for a place in the quarter-finals. After everything that’s happened to them in this tournament so far, no doubt plenty of people will be cheering Denmark on.

This is the first time Denmark have scored four goals in a major tournament game since they trounced Nigeria 4-1 at the 1998 World Cup. They can be very proud of their performance here and how they’ve overcome adversity since losing Eriksen. Finland face the uncertainty of finishing in third place, while Russia’s heavy defeat leaves them bottom of Group B. Euro 2020 is over for them.

Denmark secure a memorable win over Russia to finish second in Group B! The hosts took the lead through Damsgaard’s marvellous strike before ramping things up after half-time, with Poulsen capitalising on Zobnin’s mistake. Russia briefly rallied as Dzyuba scored a penalty but two more goals in four minutes did it for the Danes.
