I Was Only Fondling Her Breasts, I Did Not Penetrate Her Private Part – Mechanic Caught Raping An 11- Year- Old Girl Says (Details below)
The Kwara state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have announced that they its operatives of the Gender Unit of Corps have arrested a 31- yearold mechanic allegedly caught raping an 11- year- old girl identified as Memunat Saheed in the Popo Giwa area of Ilorin in Kwara State.
The suspect, Yusuf Abdullahi, was caugh in the act by one of the officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on Saturday, while molesting the little girl, who stays in the same apartment with him.
Abdullahi, a father of three, in his confessional statement disclosed that he was sleeping when Memunat came into the room to wake him up and requested for his phone.
The suspect said he willingly brought out his phone and played an Indian movie for her but the movie aroused him.
The suspect also disclosed that he is an automobile mechanic at Eyenkorin village, a suburb of Ilorin and his wife just put to birth.
He said, ” I live at Atako residence in Popo Giwa area of Ilorin in Kwara state with my wife and three children. My wife just delivered of a baby and we are living in the same house with Memunat. I was having a short rest when the minor came into the room and woke me up, she said i should give her my phone and I willingly played a movie for her, that was how the whole incident occured.
“I was only fondling her breasts and I hadn’ t penetrated her private parts. ”
Babawale Afolabi, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps of the Kwara state command, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the victim had been taken to hospital for medical treatment.
He spokesperson of the command said, ” The case was reported to the Gender Unit of the Corps on Saturday 15 May 2021. The incident took place around 10. 30am when 31- year- old Yusuf Abdullahi was caught having canal knowledge of an 12- year- old girl by one of our operatives at the Kaiama Division”
The spokesman of the Corps disclosed that the suspect would be charged after investigation are completed.
