‘The Southwest Can Survive Without Us, If We Can Come Together, We Can Also Do Without Them’- Shehu (Details below)

The call for secession from some people in the country has made some regions to start thinking how they can survive on their own.

The truth of the matter is that no part of Nigeria can survive on their own, we all need each other to survive.

Yes because for example, the red oil used in cooking food in the Northern part of the country is being produced in the south, likewise the tomatoes and onions used in the Southern Nigeria are being sent from the North.

This shows that nature endowed each region with diverse and unique gifts which we both need to survive.

A Northerner with Twitter username Shehu Dantata has erred his own opinion after Sunday Igboho called for Oduduwa Republic.

Shehu said that the Southwest can survive without the North, he called on the Northerners to come together and take full advantage of their natural resources so as to be able to survive without the Southwest.

Should we not be concerned about uniting Nigeria by resolving our differences instead of thinking how to survive alone?

The truth is, we need each other and it will be better if Nigeria remains united.

Meanwhile, former presidential candidate, Adamu Garba, took to his verified Twitter handle to send a vital message to the leader of the proscribed IPOB group, Nnamdi Kanu and the Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

He stressed that they should not make the mistake of thinking that the Northerners are afraid of division- saying that not even one person from the North is afraid of divisions.

He said that what the Northerners are doing is to be reasonable and pragmatic in what can work in Nigeria.

He said that it would not be ideal to start embarking on activities that will be aimed at the breakup of Nigeria.
