Sunday Igboho Sends Strong Warning To Nigerian Army And DSS Over Shoot On Sight Order By Buhari (Details below)

The popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho has sent a strong warning to the security operatives in the country over the recent shoot on sight order given by President Muhammadu Buhari sequel to the increasing insecurity crisis in the country.

It will be recalled that few days ago, President Muhammadu Buhari in a bid to put a stop to criminality among some Fulani herdsmen who are alleged to be behind many kidnapping and killings in the country, ordered security agencies to shoot anyone carrying AK- 47 rifle and suppression of bandits who refused to surrender.

Consequently, while reacting to the development, the reknown Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho, while commending the President over the order, however warned the Nigerian military and the DSS operatives to ensure that they only go after the said bandits and not innocent citizens.

Igboho, while speaking in a viral video shared by a former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani- Kayode, advised the security operatives to avoid descending on innocent hunters in Yoruba land who do carry double barrel gun around for the purpose of killing farm animals in bushes.


” Go after bandits that you’ ve been sent to, Sheikh Gumi already showed you where they are in the forest. Do not make the mistake of trying to intimidate or hurt our people in Yoruba land, especially the hunters who carries double barrel gun around in the bush for the purpose of killing animals. ” He said.

Consequently, many diverse reactions have continued to trail the remarks of the activist, as many people joined voices with him while others argued that anyone seen with gun in the forest irrespective of who he is, should be shot.


It will recalled that in the last couple of months, the nation has been engulfed in the crisis between the farmers in some southwestern states and some Fulani herdsmen who are alleged to be hiding under being an herder to perpetrate evil.

Just two days ago, a notorious Fulani heresman, who is alleged to be behind diverse criminal activities in Ibarapa and Oke Ogun area of Oyo state, was nabbed by the men of the Oodua People’ s Congress, OPC and handed over to the police.
