Terry Ejeh, popularly known as Terry Apala, says he finds it weird how female fans turn to bedmates. The Lock Up singer said he wouldn’t allow that happen to him.

Speaking in an interview with Sunday Scoop, he said, “I find it weird looking at how female fans move from becoming fans to bedmates. I have learnt to never allow that happen. I only pamper them. My female fans are precious to me.”.

At a time when most artistes are making songs around Afrobeats and hip-hop, Terry has remained committed to his passion for Apala music. Asked about the challenges of being an Apala artiste, he said, “The genre of music I do is called Apala hip-pop and I have never got carried away by another genre of music. There is nothing like challenges in my life. I believe God’s time is the best.”

On how long it took him to release his recent EP collaboration with Major Bangz, Terry said, “The five songs out of the six songs on the EP took me five hours, while the last song took me two hours to compose. It didn’t take us much time because I already had an idea of what wanted.”

Going down memory lane, Terry an unforgettable experience he had was when his old friends betrayed him. He said, “The most unforgettable experience I have ever had was when I trusted my old friends. I never believed they could betray me. Till this moment, I am still not happy about it.”

The singer also noted that one of the lessons he learnt during the COVID-19 total lockdown was the need for Nigerians to cultivate the habit of saving.

“Generally, I know we have learnt many lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, but one lesson that I have learnt is the need for people to cultivate a culture of saving for a rainy day. As Nigerians, we should not always eat with our 10 fingers. Always take precautionary measures, stay safe and always wash your hands,” he added.
