Plane Engine Bursts Into Flames As It Hits Runway | Video
A plane has been caught on camera as it bursts into flames upon landing on the runway in a terrifying video that has left viewers stunned.
A video has shown how a plane burst into flames as it landed at a major airport.
According to Daily StarUK, the dramatic footage shows Hawaiian Airlines Flight 875 touching down at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington.
Suddenly, its left wing engine erupts into a ball of fire and continues to spew flames for several seconds.
Luckily, the flight from Paine Field, Washington had no passengers onboard and just the crew.
Cheryl Mander spotted the scary moment as she waited for her own flight to arrive, yesterday evening (November 7).
“Waiting to taxi to our gate at Seattle-Tacoma,” she wrote on Twitter.
“A plane just landed with what appears to be an engine fire.
“It went out on its own before fire trucks arrived. Hopefully everyone is ok.”
Hawaiian Airlines have since explained the incident, telling CBS News: “[The plane] experienced a left engine issue on the final approach at SEA tonight.
“A left engine fire reported upon landing was extinguished by the time fire crews arrived at the aircraft.”
