‘Feeling very stupid, Baba Sala not dead’ – Gbenga Adeyinka apologises for Baba Sala’s false death claim
Gbenga Adeyinka has apologised to Nigerians for posting a false claim that veteran comedian, Moses Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala was dead.
Recall that the Popular Nigerian comedian, earlier yesterday, shared a photo of the aged veteran comedian and wrote;
AN ICON IS GONE.. WE LOST HIM What a Great Loss !!! THE ACE COMEDIAN
MOST SENIOR APOSTLE . MOSES ADEJUMO Popularly Known As
BABA SALA Died 3 hours ago.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
He has issued an apology on his Instagram page where he had earlier made the untrue claim.
Follow us on social media:“Good evening please DISREGARD the news of Baba Sala’s demise. The source has since recanted. So sorry for the misinformation.
“Feeling very stupid that I just took his word for it. Sorry again,”
This is just after one of Baba Sala’s sons, Emanuel Adejumo, had dismissed the story as false.
He said “It is not true that Baba is dead. He is alive and he doesn’t even have a stroke.
“I don’t know where those peddling the death rumour got it from.”
