Female Maths Teacher Arrested After Off-campus Romps With 3 Teenage Students
A FEMALE teacher has been thrown behind bars over accusations she had sex with three teenage pupils.
Erin McAuliffe, 25, reportedly romped with the boys – two aged 17 and one 16 – away from the school.
But the maths teacher came under investigation after admin staff at her school in North Carolina tipped off cops about her illicit behaviour.
After a month-long police probe, in which colleagues and students were interviewed, the tutor was arrested by police with the Rocky Mount Police Department
The 25-year-old was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with three counts of sexual activity with a student one one of indecent liberties with a minor.
Detectives say they have conducted interviews with students and staff at the school, which has 1,300 students from kindergarten to 12th grade, before obtaining a warrant for the teacher’s arrest this week.
Ms McAuliffe was ordered held in the Carteret County Jail on $20,000 bond pending her first court appearance scheduled for June 12, according to WITN.
School administrators confirmed the blonde maths teacher was fired on May 4, a day before police were tipped off about her alleged dalliances with minors.
The Rocky Mount Prep job was the first time McAuliffe worked as a teacher full-time, according to her Linkedin profile.
She also offered “after-school tutoring to help struggling students improve their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.”
McAuliffe also worked to “develop alternate enrichment activities and modifications in student programs to increase student understanding.”
