INEC to investigate allegation of wrong figures in Edo governorship election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it will investigate any proven infractions related to alleged discrepancies in polling unit result sheets during the ongoing Edo State governorship election.
In a statement shared on its official social media handle, INEC acknowledged receiving its second complaint about wrong figures being entered into polling unit result sheets out of the 4,519 polling units used in the election.
The commission assured the public that it is taking the allegations seriously and will launch an immediate investigation into the matter, promising to address any verified infractions accordingly.
The Edo State governorship election is closely watched as results from polling units continue to be tallied.
