17 ISWAP terrorists drown while attempting to cross river on Nigeria-Niger border
At least 17 militants belonging to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) drowned while attempting to cross a river between the villages of Kafetoa and Bulabulin Geidam, which lie along the border between Nigeria and Niger Republic.

The insurgents were reportedly trying to reach Tam village in Niger Republic, near the Nigerian village of Kannamma in Yobe State, when they met their waterloo.
Intelligence sources told security analyst, Zagazola Makama that the militants were swept away by strong currents as they attempted the crossing.
According to Zagazola, the terrorists were displaced from some of their bases which include Bulabulin Geidam, Chettimari and Diffan in the Nigeria-Niger borders
