Two suspected kidnappers killed as police rescue kidnap victim in Delta
Two suspected kidnappers have been confirmed dead from gunshot injuries they sustained during a shootout with operatives of Delta police command who rescued a kidnap victim.
They were killed by operatives attached to Ekpan division at a bush in Ekakpamre community in Ughelli-South Local Government Area, while their victim was rescued unhurt.
Delta Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe further disclosed that one of the suspects escaped with gunshot injuries.
Items recovered from the kidnappers include the abductee’s vehicle, three firearms, two single barrel and one double barrel guns with two expended cartridges.
Efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspect who escaped.
