JUST IN: Nigerian government increases price of petrol from N539
The Nigerian government has reportedly increased the price of petrol to N617 per litre.
According to Daily Trust, this was confirmed after a visit to one of the NNPC filling stations in the Central area of Abuja on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
It is said that fuel price has now been adjusted from N539 to N617 per litre.
A customer also confirmed the development saying; “It is true, I just bought at N617 per liter,”
The immediate reason could not be ascertained but it is not unconnected to the recent projections by oil marketers that fuel price will hit N700 per litre soon.
