Rapper, Jay Z’s mother ties the knot with her longtime lesbian partner (Watch video)

Gloria Carter, mother of American rap mogul, Shawn Corey Carter also known as Jay-Z, has tied the knot with longtime partner, Roxanne Wilshire.

The couple held the wedding ceremony in Tribeca, New York City on Sunday night, July 2nd.

Gloria and Roxanne made their way into the Manhattan venue alongside Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson and the singer’s cousin Angie Beyince while her faithful bodyguard Julius cleared the path.

According to TMZ, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Tyler Perry, were among those who attended the star-studded wedding and subsequent reception.

“Mama had four kids, but she’s a lesbian/Had to pretend so long that she’s a thespian/Had to hide in the closet, so she medicate/Society shame and the pain was too much to take.

“Cried tears of joy when you fell in love/Don’t matter to me if it’s a him or her/I just wanna see you smile through all the hate/Marie Antoinette, baby, let ’em eat cake,” he rapped.
