FINALLY! Niger Military announce coup says they have removed President Bazoum, dissolved the constitution and closed borders (Video)
The group of military leaders in said they have removed President Mohamed Bazoum, dissolved the constitution and closed the country’s borders.
Niger military spoke about the reasons for the coup.
🔹 Previously, they announced the removal of the president, the introduction of a curfew and the suspension of all institutions.
🔹 The rebels cited the deteriorating security situation and poor governance as the reason for the coup.
🔹 Also among the reasons for the coup is the planned dismissal of the commander of the guard.
The White House has already stated that the United States condemns attempts to seize power and is actively cooperating in the region to resolve the situation.
