JUST IN: Crisis deepens as all PDP executives resign in Imo
The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) since last year has taken a new dimension as executives in its Imo state chapter resigned from their various positions.
The state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Collins Opuozor, alongside other leaders of the party, made this known to newsmen in Owerri on Sunday, June 18, 2023.
They alleged that their resignation was as a result of alleged Act of violence, intimidation, attempt to harm executive members of the Imo PDP, by the loyalists to the Imo state PDP governorship candidate, Samuel Anyanwu.
The 2023 Imo State gubernatorial election will take place on November 11, 2023, due to the belated inauguration of incumbent Governor Hope Uzodinma, to elect the Governor of Imo State.
The off-cycle governorship election will also be held in Imo and Kogi states which had similar issues.
