Sevilla 3-0 Man Utd (Agg 5-2): De Gea & Maguire blunders send Man Utd out of UEL

Youssef En-Nesyri scored a brace as Sevilla ran out 5-2 aggregate winners against a sub-par Man Utd side to advance in the Europa League..

United were 2-0 ahead on aggregate early into this tie but the advantage swung in the favour of Sevilla in the first leg as they scored twice late on to restore parity.

The second leg in Spain was always going to be a major test for Man Utd but they were abysmal as Sevilla tore them apart without too much trouble over 90 minutes.

En-Nesyri opened the scoring on the night inside the opening ten minutes after Harry Maguire lost possession on the edge of the penalty area.

Lucas Ocampos had a goal ruled out for a narrow offside just before half-time but Loic Bade’s goal just after the restart was allowed and this left United with a lot of work to do.

In truth, Man Utd never really looked like scoring and En-Nesyri capitalised on a terrible mistake from David De Gea to score Sevilla’s third with ten minutes to go. This 5-2 aggregate win sets up a semi-final tie against Serie A giants Juventus.
