“My Conversation With Peter Obi Shows That He Understands The Problems Of Nigeria” – Sheikh Gumi Share His Conversation With Peter Obi
Sheikh Gumi, the popular Nigerian Islamic Cleric, have revealed what he discussed with the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Mr. Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Ahmed.
Sheikh Gumi made this known during an interview with the Sun Newspapers. Sheikh Gumi however, revealed that his conversation with the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi shows that the Labour Party presidential candidate understands the problems of Nigeria.
Sheikh Gumi stated that during Peter Obi’s Visit, they sat down in front of several other people and they discussed his ideas on how to solve Nigeria’s problems.
He stated that Peter Obi was asked if he has been to Kaduna State before, and then replied he replied that he has been attending Kaduna international trade fair in the past ten years, which however shows that he is very conversant with Kaduna State.
Sheikh Gumi further stated that Peter Obi told them he is a businessman. “From that conversation, we saw that he understands the problems of Nigeria, which just confirmed what I have been saying all along that whatever happens, the next dispensation can form a kind of unitary government”.
Sheikh Gumi was optimistic that whoever emerges President would work together with the Present Presidential candidates inorder to make the country move forward.
