Power outage at the House of Representatives stalled the consideration of a bill to increase transportation and accommodation allowances of NYSC corps members..

The bill, sponsored by Eta Ebora, was listed for consideration on the order paper of the House, but the abrupt disruption of power in the chamber forced the lawmakers to adjourn.

It seeks to amend the NYSC Act and do an upward review of the allowances of corps members along with present realities.

It is unclear how much the bill is proposing to add to the N33,000 earned by corps members in the country.

The lawmakers were forced to adjourn as they could not use the sound system.

They were forced to adjourn to tomorrow.
