The 22 highest-paid Brazilian footballers in Europe As Antony will earn more than Roberto Firmino, Fabinho and Thiago Silva at Man Utd
The signing of Antony from Ajax is one that Manchester United fans are hugely excited about.
After adding Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro to the squad, Erik ten Hag’s side are set to complete their summer business with the acquisition of the talented Brazilian winger.
Antony will cost the Red Devils a cool £85 million in transfer fees, making him one of the most expensive signings in Premier League history.
Only Jack Grealish’s move to Manchester City, Romelu Lukaku’s failed return to Chelsea and Paul Pogba’s switch to United from Juventus cost more.
As well as the £85 million transfer fee to secure his services, Antony will pocket a cool £200,000-a-week in wages – making him one of the Premier League’s highest-paid players.
It will also see him become one of the highest-paid Brazilian footballers in the whole of Europe.
In fact, only six players from the country currently plying their trade on the continent will earn more than Antony each week.
Who are they? Well, we’ve provided all the answers to that question below after scouring through the Capology website.
