According to a report from The Nation, the president of Nigeria released a statement through the security adviser of the country, Boss Mustapha.

He made it clear that the Buhari government is very prepared and ready to do whatever it takes to bring sanity to the country by eliminating individuals and groups who have continued to disturb public peace.

Part of his statement reads ” Government is also deeply concerned about the activities of bandits and criminals who rear their ugly heads in some parts of the country. This is because the number of violent unprovoked attacks on citizens appears to be on the increase. This is unacceptable. “
