2023: Don’t deceive yourself – Shehu Sani warns AfDB President Adesina
A former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has warned the President of African Development Bank, AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina not to deceive himself into joining the presidential race..
Twenty-eight groups came together on Saturday to purchase APC’s N100 million presidential forms for Adesina.
They said they would obtain the nomination and expression of interest forms from the APC secretariat on Sunday for Adesina.
The groups called on him to come out and vie for the presidency as he is the most qualified candidate for the job.
Reacting to this development, Sani said on his Twitter handle on Sunday that Adesina should not deceive himself into joining the presidential race.
He also warned him not to allow other people to deceive him to join the presidential race under APC.
The lawmaker advised him to remain at the AfDB.
Shehu tweeted: “Akinwumi Adesina should not deceive himself nor allow others to deceive him.Remain in that AFDB and ignore that lottery ticket.”.
