A woman identified as Kenia has narrated how she fell in love with a man on Facebook without knowing that he was disabled.

Kenia met Jack, a disabled man on Facebook. Speaking to AfriMax, Kenia, a Rwandese woman, said:

“I met Jack on Facebook and we used to chat. He told me he had a problem but i didn’t know it was that serious,” she said.

Jack suffered a stroke one day while on his way home and woke up in hospital a month later. His right side of the body was paralysed.

Kenia said she thought Jack, an ex-footballer was normal and healthy after seeing his photos on Facebook but after visiting him the first day, she was shocked to discover that he was disabled.

The kind-hearted woman revealed that she was mad at Jack for ‘lying’ to her, but she felt sorry for him when he explained what had happened.

She spent a week with him, bathed him, cooked for him and cleaned his clothes and house because he couldn’t do anything for himself.

Kenia said when she went back home, she had already fallen in love with Jack and when she told her parents, they were not for the idea of their daughter marrying a disabled man.

“My parents refused to help with cash to travel back to see Jack and I sold my clothes so as to get transport,” she said.
The two decided to live a happy life, but a few months later, she became sick, and after going to the hospital, she received the worst news.

Kenia was told she had a problem with her right ovary, and the fallopian tube on the left had blocked and needed urgent surgery, but unfortunately, she didn’t have cash.

Kenia finally got her right ovary removed though her fallopian tube is yet to be unblocked due to lack of funds.

According to AfriMax, Jack’s family chased away Kenia because she couldn’t give birth, but she stuck with her man.

“I told him that I couldn’t leave him because he was my only and forever husband. We have been through a lot together,” Kenia said.
Kenia, who works at construction sites, where she earns less than a dollar to put food on the table, ho[es well-wishers will help her get treated soon.
