Ahmadu Umar, the collation officer for Anambra state’s Ihiala Local Government Area, claims that no election was place in his area..

During a presentation at the state collation center, Umar stated this. The LGA has 148,407 registered voters, according to him, although no election has been held in the region. He did not, however, provide any explanation for this.

According to accounts, some election workers in the local government region were attacked by hoodlums, forcing the election to be postponed.

As an election official, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) said:

“We were blocked on our way to the polling units in Okija community. We met some hoodlums who barricaded the roads, saying we can’t go for the election. They also said they were not interested in election as long as there is sit-at-home order,” the corps member, who preferred to remain anonymous, said.

In other news, Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s governorship candidate, is now dominating with 49, 000 votes.

INEC officials claim APGA polled a total of 99,159 votes after results were tallied in 19 local government areas. Andy Uba of the APC received 40,270 votes, while Valentine Ozigbo of the PDP received 49,475.

The results of two local government areas, Orumba North and Ihiala LGA, are expected soon.
