Against Alaves, Sergi Barjuan was forced into two concerning changes due to injury with Sergio Aguero forced off and having to spend the night in hospital and Gerard Pique also picking up a muscle strain..

Aguero was forced off before half-time, going down appearing to be dizzy and struggling to breath.

The Argentine was transferred to hospital via an ambulance for further treatment.

There he underwent tests on his heart due to the chest pains he had suffered, with a high heart rate having been detected when he was withdrawn.

Replaced by Phillippe Coutinho on the field, Aguero was making his fifth appearance after missing the start of the season, though he was quiet in attack with Memphis Depay.

Pique injured
