Nigerian author, Reno Omokri is suggesting that people who are successful and wealthy have no business in their school alumni WhatsApp forum.
He made this comment in a recent post he made on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter..

According to him, these people will too often attract unnecessary hatred by schoolmates who believe their poverty is their responsibility to fix and their refusal to fix their poverty is a show of hatred towards them.

The post he made reads;

“If you are successful and wealthy, avoid your school alumni WhatsApp forum. Too often, you may attract unnecessary hatred by schoolmates who believe their poverty is your responsibility to fix and your refusal to fix their poverty is a show of hatred towards them”.

The post he made got some reactions and these reactions are;

@ChijiokeMishack – This is not truth. That you can’t fix everyone’s problem within your circle should not be a reason to dissociate from them. No man is an island. you may need the less successful among them for the things you may not do from your strata. The poor are also helpful to the rich

@Bedexojini – This man just have stingy mindset. God help us, I’m sure Reno family members can’t ask him for any financial help, he will die and leave the money.

@ApostleNonso – You’re not completely right as I belong to a two old boys WhatsApp group (secondary school and university) such doesn’t exist. Amongst us are wealthy brethren and we are happy together

@Germanprinz – What about helping some of the become financially stable than avoid them? If God blesses you, you build bridges for connections and not destroy them or cut off communication.

@itz_leystan – In as much as I like the rhetorics in this tweet. It doesn’t convey some values you uphold. If you’re rich and successful try to reach out. In as much as you may experience some of the aforementioned, you may lose out completely on real friendships.

@aytaiwo – Absolutely nothing wrong in helping others. If your old school mates falls in this category. Help if and when you can. You have always preached this, Reno.

@ikdarling2031 – Asware!! like we still dè inside the same class room.. Some lack ideas yet critical of others who have something to offer! Crazy enough, they don’t even like themselves among themselves. The only thing they have in common is their hatred against som1
