Seyi shay has gotten a lot of people talking on social media after a young talented guy’ s performance at the Nigerian idol audition made her cry.
Nigerian Idol is the local version of the Idol series franchise. It is the second Idol franchise for the country as it was already part of Idols West Africa which was also shot and produced in Stockholm, Sweden.
IK Osakioduwa, a media personality, hosts the sixth season of Nigerian Idol, which also features singer Seyi Shay, DJ Sose, and music executive Obi Asika as judges.
However, in order to win a golden ticket in naija idol, you must impress the judges with your performance. It was a surprise emotional moment for Seyi Shay when one of the contestants’ performance moved the renowned artist to tears.
Many Nigerians were taken aback by Seyi Shay’ s emotional outburst, as she had been chastised in the previous week for her harsh words and enraged demeanor toward contestants whose performances were subpar.
Remember how, about a week ago, Seyi chastised a 17- year- old boy whose performance was barely passable, telling him, ” You can never make money as a singer, i love you, you are so sweet but you are not a singer. For songwriting, hit me up, we could talk but that singing, it is not going to work. Sorry, Darling.”
As a result of that video, many people have reacted negatively to Seyi’ s behavior, with some claiming it was a ruse to gain sympathy from angry Nigerians in response to the criticism she received last week.
