Ritualists Kill 55- Year- Old Woman, Remove Her Body Parts After Luring Her Into A House (Details below)
Unknown people has killed a 55 year old Nigerian woman named Iya Elekuru in Modakeke, Osun state. The woman was reportedly killed on Saturday, but the news was made known to Journalists on Sunday, 11 April, 2021.
We learnt that the said woman was lured into a building by the unknown persons. There, they hawked her to death. The incident happened before the noon hour of the day at Ogbingin area, Ile- Ife.
After she was killed, her head and hands were separated from her body by the unknown people. They also took away her hands and head.
The incident caused tension among people residing in the community. Youths mobilized and burnt down the house where the woman was killed, while parading the whole community looking for the trace of the unknown people.
When contacted, the spokesman of the state’ s police command, SP Yemisi Opalola, told journalists that the incident happened and that the police is already on top of the matter.
The police spokesperson said an investigation was opened by the commissioner of police, Olawale Olokode, has opened an investigation into the matter.
” The remains of the deceased was released for the victim’ s son for immediate burial according to Islamic rites. ” A source said.
Reacting to the incident, a resident said, Everyone is scared now. Who knows what will happen next? We are in fear because we don’ t know who this kind of thing will happen to again. Government should please help us. ”
A trader identified as Mrs. Chikodiri said, ” the people that did this are ritualists. They want to use the woman for their ritual sacrifice. It Will never be well with them. ”
The people residing in your community have been advised to always stay indoor and do their activities during the day time. They’ ve been warned to stop moving about at night or early in the morning.
