Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has again reiterated what the security outfit, Eastern Security Network, ESN, established by him stands for.

Recall that about four days ago, in meeting which had the governors of Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Imo, Enugu, Navy and Air Force Commanders, the Inspector- General of Police, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other stakeholders in attendance, the five South- East governors launched its own joint security outfit code- named EBUBEAGU.

However, since the launch, diverse reactions have continued to trail the development, with the IPOB sending warning to Igbo youths not to join the outfit, because doing so will have dire consequences on them.

Emma Powerful, the IPOB’ s PRO, warned Igbo youths and said: ” We are warning our youths to have nothing to do with the so- called Ebubeagu security outfit which was formed to sabotage IPOB and ESN. ”

“Anyone who neglects this warning and thinks he can hide under the cloak of EBUBEAGU to spy on ESN should be prepared to join his ancestors. ” He concluded.

But, the Southeast governors said it established security outfit, EBUBEAGU, with the aim of curbing the recent surge in insecurity situation in the country and the region in particular, especially after a correctional service, police stations and military checkpoints were attacked and set ablaze by unknown gunmen.

Consequently, while reacting to the controversies trailing the activities of ESN and the newly launched EBUBEAGU by southeast governors, Kanu revealed that the ESN was formed to combat, terrorism, oppression, torture, murder, kidnapping and land grabbing.

“The object of terrorism is terrorism, oppression is oppression, torture is torture, murder is murder, kidnapping is kidnapping and land grabbing is land grabbing, now you understand? ”

To this end, diverse reactions have been pouring in over the new revealation, with many expressing that the men of EBUBEAGU and the ESN may begin to hunt each other if care is not taken.
