After some of the pictures of her hawking sachet water on the streets of Lagos went viral, Mary Daniel, a Lagos- based water hawker, became famous.

The 26- year- old single mother, who walks with crutches after losing one of her legs in accidents, touched the hearts of many people. To provide for herself and her daughter, the lady took to the streets to sell sachet water.

Many people have reached out to her and donated to her account since her photos went viral. According to reports, Rochas Okorocha’ s son- in- law, Uche Nwosu, donated one million Naira to Mary.

Concerning her donations, Edujandon.com reports that the Lagos state government has taken over the 26- year- welfare.

The Lagos State Government has taken over Mary Daniel’ s welfare, the 26- year- old single mother who hawked table water in traffic in the Oshodi area to earn a living.

Aderemi Adebowale, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Civic Engagement, revealed on Monday, April 12, that the Lagos Government has taken Mary into protective custody until plans to find her a new apartment are finalized.

Mary’ s story is heartbreaking and inspiring. Who would have guessed that Mary would one day be hosted by the Lagos State Government?

The orphan who lost her parents and her leg in an accident years ago never let her disability define her, even after her husband abandoned her.

We pray for more blessings in her life as she progresses to the next stage of her life.
