More revelations have been made further implicating the Minister for Communications in Nigeria, Isa Pantami, who has been reported to be a sympathizer of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists.

Nigeria Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Ali Pantami has been under pressure after People’ s Gazette reporter dug an old video of his.

The video has made a lot of Nigerians tag the minister as an extremist and even find more reasons why he should resign from being the Minister of Communications. Many feel he should not be trusted because of his previous sympathy for bandits and Boko Haram.

In a recent development, the minority leader of the house of representatives, Ndudi Elumelu has called for the resignation or the suspension of the minister of communications.

In his motion, Elumelu noted that he would not allow Ali Pantami to keep serving as a minister after being affiliated with extremism.

” It will be out of place for me to be in this chamber and allow a man with links to extremism to remain a minister, he should either resign or be suspended” , Elumelu moved.

Although, Isa Pantami during several interviews with media houses noted he was misunderstood by Nigerians, and he also corrected the impression of his earlier stated comment that caused reactions online.

Aside from that, during an exclusive interview with the Punch Newspaper, the minister revealed that he made the controversial statement at a very young age.

Ali Pantami who use to be a cleric during his early 2000s clamoured for the rights to fair hearings in the court of law for Boko Harams in one of his sermons.

A lot of Nigeria find the sermon disturbing and has started to call for the resignation of the minister.
