Okada Rider Crashes Woman Of 61 To Death (Video below)
A terrible motor accident around Akim Adubiase in the Birim Central Municipality in the Eastern Region has claimed the lives of two persons on the spot. Eyewitnesses explain that the accident happened in the night around 7:30 pm when people were gradually pouring into the community center. They explained that the victim, one Akua Serwaah, a sixty-one (61) year old woman was badly hit by a speeding motorcycle.
The severity of the crash left her with multiple wounds around her body. She was immediately rushed to the nearby health facility to be attended to. Shortly after arriving of the Akim Oda Government hospital, health authorities pronounced her dead. Reports also suggest that the motor rider, Richard Kwakye sustained fatal injuries and was also taken to the same health facility for medical attention. He however gave up the ghost after spending several hours at the Akim Oda Government hospital.
The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the Akim Oda Government Hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation. Incidents of vehicular accidents are being rather rampant in the Eastern region. barely a week ago three students riding on a motorcycle lost their lives tragically in a head-on accident with a Hyundai H100 mini bus with registration number GC1516-19.
The vehicle crashed head-on with Haujue motorbike with registration Number M– 20– GR 6731 ridden by Gideon Shia, 19, a student with two pillion passengers – Richmond Kwakye,19, and Richard Amuzu 18, all students of Presbyterian Senior High. School, Adeiso killing them instantly. The Eastern Regional Commander of the MTTD of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Superintendent Stephen Ahiatafu revealed staggering statistics last month that, motorbikes (Okada)and tricycle (Pragia) killed 20 out 60 people who died on roads in the region from January to February 13, 2021.
