Most Nigerians reacted to the open grazing of cattles by these herdsmen, calling for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari as well as Governors of states in the South- West to ban the grazing of cattles in the open.

In the light of the prevailing issue, the group, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has reacted to the ban imposed on open grazing by Governors of the South- West.

“They can’ t put an end to open grazing by fiat because grazing is not motorcycle business; there must be an alternative. Secondly, if they say they are going to end open grazing, what is the timeline for it? ” , Saleh Alhassan said.

He also disclosed that the Governors ought to have known that they can’ t what they want on the issue of placing a ban on open grazing. While speaking on the National Livestock Transformation Plan, he stated their support for the movement, wherein he called it a welcome development.
