Man Who Used ‘JUJU’ To Rob A Bank Aressted By The Police As His JUJU Failed (Photos below)
There as pandemonium on that fateful morning when motorists and residents driving along Umaru Audi Road around Tanke Junction area of Ilorin were thrown into serious confusion over a purported robbery operation taking place in one of the commercial banks in the vicinity.
As the rumour spread like a wildfire, many motorists refused using that route just and many shop owners quickly locked up to customers.
Sources told news men in Ilorin, the state capital that a middle aged man who was believed to have been under the influence of strange magical powers ‘ Juju’ had stormed the banking hall with a big bag and started parking some bundles of Naira notes with the hope of going away with them under the protection of his magical powers.
Unfortunately, under the false belief of being invisible, he was confronted by some of the staffs in the bank who swiftly alerted the police of his mission while stopping him from leaving the banking hall.
In view of this, In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Okasami Ajayi in the Kwara State Police Command who noted that the confusing news going round that armed robbers stormed a bank in Tanke area of Ilorin bringing about some level of panic and agitation in the people was not true.
According to Ajayi, the command wishes to state that what happened was that a man strayed into the said banking hall of the bank and started packing monies on the bank counter and that eventually led to commotion in the banking hall.
Policemen were deployed immediately and the suspect was quickly arrested taken away. Further findings however revealed that the suspect is of an unsound mind.
Meanwhile peace has been restored and aggressive patrols of Ilorin has been ordered by the acting commissioner of police, Kayode Egbetokun who was the Commissioner of Police of Kwara State to further instill confidence in members of the public and especially commercial institutions like banks in the state.
And all members of the public were advised to be conscious of happening around them and report any suspicious movement to the police.
