BIAFRA/ODUDUWA: Reps Finally Made Decisions On Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday Igboho (Details below)
Members of the Nigerian House of Representatives met with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, behind closed doors at the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja on Saturday.
The lawmakers and the army chief officially met to discuss the secessionist agitations threats currently going on across the country.
Various individuals and organizations, including Nnamdi Kanu’ s IPOB, Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho, former militant leader Asari Dokubo, and others, have been calling for Nigeria’ s secession.
These organizations are calling for independent states such as Biafra and Oduduwa.
According to the statement released from SaharaReporters, the rising agitations in the South- West led by Sunday Igboho, IPOB, and other agitations in the South- East and South- West topped the debate, despite lawmakers and the military refusing to reveal the information to the press.
The lawmaker’ s committee chaired by Abdul- Razaq Namdas expressed concern about individual and group efforts to divide the country, as well as rising insecurity.
According to Edujandon.com news, the army chief vowed to use all forces at his disposal to keep the country unified and protect its territorial integrity.
The statement reads, ” With the COAS, the lawmakers debated two big topics. One is the issue of insecurity that exists throughout the country. The other is rising agitation among some individuals to divide the nation.
it would be recalled that the Army vowed to cracks down on agitators like Sunday Igboho and Kanu, according to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. – Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru.
Attahiru cautioned that the Nigerian Army would deal decisively with any security challenge the country faces, including those raised by secessionist agitators such as the Igboho and Dokubo.
He noted that the Army would defeat any attempt by some individuals to jeopardize the country’ s territorial integrity by declaring sovereignty on behalf of ethnic nationalities.
