Police Bursts Baby Factory, Rescued 10 Pregnant Girls And Kids, Make Arrests (Details below)

Police operatives rescued 10 victims after they busted a baby factory at Ofada, Mowe, Obafemi-Owode LGA, Ogun state on Tuesday, December 1.

The officers were unfortunate as the operator of the baby factory, Mrs Florence Ogbonna fled but they were able to arrest her daughter and a physically challenged man.

Among the 10 rescued victims were pregnant mothers and kids.

It was disheartening to learn that the role of the physically challenged man was to be impregnating the young girls.

Edujandon.com also gathered that after the women deliver their babies, the babies will be sold by Mrs Ogbonna to unknown persons.

The operator of the factory was also arrested for similar offence and she is standing trial for human trafficking.

The young expectant mothers, aged 18 to 24 years, were transported from Imo, Abia and Ebonyi states with a promise of securing employment for them but later lured into the illicit trade.

While confirming the arrest in a statement, the spokesman of the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the fleeing operator of the baby factory was under court bail but decided to return to her “usual business.”

He said one of the victims who had resisted the plan to put her baby for sale, escaped and reported the illicit trade to the police, adding that families of the victims would be contacted to reunite them.

The victim identified as Chindera Onuoha, reveal that she reported to the police after the operator of the factory wanted to sell her baby.

The victim also reveal that a baby boy is sold at the cost of 250, 000 and a baby girl is sold at the cost of 200,000, just 50,000 difference
