No one is asking Pastors to be saints, but there are some things that aren’t even expected that Pastors would do and one of these things is Rape.

It is even more disappointing when a Pastor isn’t just a perpetrator of rape, but also makes his own daughter a victim. How bad can it get?

The whole church was in disarray when a 44-year-old Pastor of CAC Ogo Oluwa parish, Oluwafemi Oyebola was arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command of the Nigeria Police for raping his own biological daughter (name withheld).

The news became public after a press statement was released by the Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi in Abeokuta.

In the statement released by Oyeyemi, the pastor was arrested following a complaint by his daughter who reported at Owode-Egbado divisional headquarters that her father has been forcefully having carnal knowledge of her since 2015 when she was 19years old.

The daughter reportedly mentioned that he started defiling he shortly after the demise of her mother.

To make things worse, She also reported that she got pregnant for her father three times and her father took her to a nurse where those pregnancies were aborted.

After the third abortion, the little girl was even made to do family planning for her so as not to get pregnant any longer.

In the words of Oyeyemi,

“Having realized that her father is all out to ruin her life, she ran away from the house and reported to an NGO ‘‘Advocacy For Children And Vulnerable Persons Network’’ consequent upon which she was taken to Owode-Egbado police station to complain”.

Upon the report, the DPO Owode-Egbado division, SP Olabisi Elebute led her detectives to the pastor’s house where he was promptly arrested”.

On interrogation, the suspect made a confessional statement that all that his daughter said is nothing but the whole truth”.

When the Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson heard of the situation, he ordered the immediate transfer of the rapist Pastor to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.

It is really disappointing that a man of God would do that to his own daughter.

One cannot but imagine what he would be doing to outsiders if his own daughter was going through that.

Sadly but true, he isn’t the first Pastor to be held guilty of rape.

There was another Nigerian Pastor in the US who was said to have been sleeping with his minor church members.

To worsen the case, some of these victims got pregnant from the abuse but the Pastor also went ahead to abort these pregnancies in a certified hospital.

And then the sad part of it was that his wife was also an accomplice to this evil act.

This Pastor was linked to a Christian church in Edgbaston, Birmingham – the Cherubim and Seraphim Church. This church had its roots in Nigeria

Oluronbi and his wife now went ahead to set up on his own splinter group for about 40 adults and children.

He made sure that this new church of his was separated from the main church.

Next thing was that he began a practice of ‘spiritual bathing’.

His main tactic was that he deceived them with the idea that God asked for holy baths which he had to do for them

It is really heartbreaking to see this and whilst some of these Pastors actually do evil, a lot of them are genuine and real.

Just be sure you aren’t falling into the wrong hands.
