BREAKING: Former State Governor is Dead

The cause of death of late Balarabe Musa, a former governor of Kaduna state, was on Wednesday, November 11, been revealed.

According to the former governor’s fourth son, AbdulKasim, Balarabe died in his sleep after battling with a heart attack.

AbdulKasim disclosed that his father has struggled with heart issues. He went on to state that a former governor of Kaduna, Ramalan Yero, flew him abroad for medical checkup, with little impact, Nigerian Tribune reports.

Balarabe’s son said:

“The former Governor of Kaduna, Ramalan Yero and others took him overseas for medical treatment but since then, his health has been deteriorating.

“We are happy he died this morning (Wednesday) in his sleep around past 8 am.”

Earlier, it was reported that the former governor of Kaduna state had been declared dead.

His death was announced by Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central in the Nigerian Senate. Until his death, Alhaji Musa was the chairman, board of trustees of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Late Alhaji Musa was elected governor of Kaduna state in 1979 on the platform of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), a party founded by Mallam Aminu Kano.

As governor, he was stalemated by the Kaduna state house of assembly, which was dominated by opposition party members.
