A twisted man raped his mum-in-law who begged him to stop while he was staying at her home, a court heard.

The 38-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, forced himself on the victim in October 2019.

A court heard how his wife’s mum repeatedly begged him to leave her alone but he continued with the vile attack.

“She was crying throughout, however remained silent due to fear.

The case was heard in a court in Brisbane “Once he was finished, he lay next to her and held her. She remained awake and terrified until she was able to get away and answer her phone.”

After the horror attack the man reportedly took $100 (£55) from his victim’s wallet.

The man pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and three minor crimes in Brisbane District Court on Tuesday.

The attack happened in the woman’s home, However after getting a seven and a half year jail sentence reports suggest he could be out on parole as early as 2022.

The woman has had trouble sleeping since the attack which made her feel ‘helpless’.

The man’s defence lawyer claimed his client was sexually abused by a Catholic priest during his childhood.
