Manchester United get back to winning ways courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Tottenham this evening at Old Trafford. The Red Devils become the first team to inflict defeat on Jose Mourinho at Spurs, which will leave a bitter taste in the mouth of the Portuguese against his former club.

Marcus Rashford was the difference between the two sides, scoring a match-winning brace. His first goal in the sixth minute caught Paulo Gazzniga by surprise, beating the keeper low at his near post. Rashford’s second came as he won a penalty following a mazy run, drawing the foul from Moussa Sissoko.

The 22-year-old held his composure to find the net, which was enough to deliver the three points for his team. Dele Alli got a first-half equaliser Spurs, but the north London outfit were off the pace tonight. Mourinho has work ahead of him to get the club trending in the right direction in the Premier League table
