Wike vs Awara: Again, INEC Suspends Collation Of Results
The collation of the Rivers State gubernatorial election result by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, appears to have suffered a brief setback.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has again suspended collation of results of delayed election in Rivers state.
INEC had on Wednesday started collation of results after suspending the collation of Rivers elections on Tuesday till 9 am, Wednesday.
However, the Commission by 1pm again suspended the collation of results till 3pm.
Meanwhile, Governor Nyesom Wike of the People’s Democratic Party PDP is leading with 426,279 collated votes in 15 LGAs out of 17.
Meanwhile, the major opposition AAC Gubernatorial candidate, Biokpomabo Awara followed with 129,855 collated votes.
