Jonathan, Ortom congratulate Atiku at 72

Ex – President Dr Goodluck Jonathan and Benue State Governor , Samuel Ortom , have congratulated former Vice – President and the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on the occasion of his 72 nd birthday .In a goodwill message , Jonathan noted that Atiku had made significant contributions to the growth and development “ of our nation. ”

A statement by Mr . Ikechukwu Eze , the former President ’ s media adviser , said that Jonathan also prayed for God’ s blessings to enable Atiku do more for the progress of the nation.

Jonathan said , “ You have every cause to be thankful to God for long life and a fulfilling experience .

“ You are a man of great courage , wisdom and dedication ; all of which you have deployed in service to the nation and humanity . ”

Ortom , in his message , described Atiku as a charismatic, humble and experienced leader who was committed to a greater Nigeria .

The governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary , Terver Akase , said , “ The emergence of Atiku Abubakar as Presidential candidate of the PDP and the nationwide enthusiasm Nigerians have shown in his candidacy the fact that the former Vice – President is indeed , the preferred choice of the people in 2019 . ”
