EFCC appoints Amokeodo as Magu’s spokesperson
A former Sub- Assistant Editor of THE PUNCH , Tony Amokeodo , has been appointed the Senior Special Assistant to the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu .
An English graduate of Lagos State University , Ojo , Amokeodo , with various professional courses in journalism , is expected to bring to bear his wealth of experience to effectively re – position the image of the EFCC .
When contacted by THE PUNCH , Ameokeodo said , “ Yes , I have accepted the offer to work as the spokesperson for the EFCC chairman and I have since resumed duties . ”
Until his appointment , the Ilesa, Osun State- born journalist was the immediate Editor of DAILY TIMES .
An experienced journalist spanning almost three decades , Amokeodo spent a great deal of his career at THE PUNCH Newspapers where he spent 16 years and rose to the position of Sub -Assistant Editor before joining the LEADERSHIP Newspapers in Abuja as the Group News Editor .
