2019: Banky W declares his intention to run for House of Reps

Pop singer , Olubankole Wellington , popularly known as Banky W, has declared his intention to contest for the Lagos State Eti – Osa Federal Constituency seat in House of Representatives on the platform of the Modern Democratic Party.He made the declaration at the party’ s convention on Saturday .

A tweet posted on the singer ’ s Twitter account read in part, “ You see , my entire life has been a story of just dreaming dreams , praying about those dreams , setting goals , and working until they come true .

“ I can live with trying and failing . I can not live with not trying .

“ So while we may not have a godfather , we do have God ”
