Police nab 35-year-old man for defiling 3-year-old girl

The Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested a 35 – year – old man , Ayegunle Adekunle , for allegedly defiling a three -year – old girl .
The suspect , who was said to be a co -tenant of the parents of the victim in the Oriokuta area , Ota , according to a police report , was arrested on Wednesday October 17 , 2018 .

The state Police Public Relations Officer , Abimbola Oyeyemi , said the victim ’ s mother reported the incident at the Onipanu Police Station .

She reportedly told the police that she discovered bloodstains in the pants of her daughter , adding that on further examination , she saw blood in her private parts .

Oyeyemi said the girl told her mother that the suspect lured her into his room and defiled her .

He added that the Onipanu Divisional Police Officer , Sangobiyi Johnson , detailed detectives to the scene where the suspect was arrested.

Oyeyemi noted that the suspect blamed his action on the devil .

“ The Commissioner of Police , Ahmed Iliyasu, has directed that the case be transferred to the Anti – Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution , ” he added .
