Some suspected cultists have caused quite a stir in a Delta community after they stormed a police station in the area.
It has been reported that some suspected cultists on Monday invaded the Divisional Police headquarters of “C” Division along Asaba/Lagos expressway by the River Niger bridge head.
According to Daily Post, the suspected cultists seriously wounded the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Anieteh Eyoh, as well as the Divisional Crime Officer of the station.
It was learnt that the suspected cultists launched their attack on the police station probably to rescue one of their members who was arrested over alleged armed robbery.
A source, who craved anonymity, said the detained suspect was trying to escape after he had informed and mobilized his gang members to rescue him.
